Over the past few years, Brazil has been climbing the heights to become the 5th biggest economy in the world. The rise has been such that it is currently preparing to host two of the most important international events: the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, in Rio de Janeiro. This year’s festival will feature fourteen films, including feature films and documentaries that deal with a wide range of issues that reflect and affect modern Brazil. Since cold and snow will soon be part of our daily lives in Québec, why not travel to South America and Brazil for one week?
I invite you to travel with us and discover the marvels of Brazilian culture!

Director of the festival
