Whatever the form : paint, illustration or comic strip, Fred Jourdain’s work is always made from a very personal point of view. He never hesitates to draw in a spontaneous way and to use different mediums, some more traditional than others. Inspired by the aestheticism of his subjects as well as by the myths and perceptions they are subjected to, Fred Jourdain always offers a strong ambiance and a dominant narrative vibe through his creations.
Fred Jourdain was born in Québec city in 1984 and still lives there as of today. Renowned for his illustrations inspired by music and cinema, he has more recently developed a new facet of his talent by concentrating himself on the graphic adaptation of Dragon bleu (derived from Robert Lepage’s play), a project to which he has devoted two years of graphic research in order to create a true standout masterpiece www.dragonbleu.ca
