Un père, une mère et leurs trois enfants vivent reclus. Protégés du monde extérieur par une haute clôture, on leur fait croire que les avions sont des jouets et les zombies, de petites fleurs jaunes. Mais lorsque Christina, une employée du père de famille, s'immisce dans leur bulle, une curiosité vis-à-vis le monde extérieur s'installe et des fissures commencent à jaillir.

Ahead of the release of BUGONIA, we’re thrilled to present  a stunning new 4K restoration of DOGTOOTH,  courtesy of Ritual Films and supervised by MK2 and sourced from the original 35mm camera negatives.

Three teenagers are confined to an isolated country estate that could very well be on another planet. The trio spend their days listening to endless homemade tapes that teach them a whole new vocabulary. Any word that comes from beyond their family abode is instantly assigned a new meaning. Hence ‘the sea’ refers to a large armchair and ‘zombies’ are little yellow flowers. Having invented a brother whom they claim to have ostracized for his disobedience, the uber-controlling parents terrorize their offspring into submission.
